Behind Nexus Modular is decades of engineering and construction experience, led by Bill Attwell.

Bill began his career on site, spending years as a land surveyor and setting‑out engineer before moving into structural design. That blend of site and design experience has shaped his entire approach: structures must work on paper and in reality.

In 1988, Bill founded his structural engineering practice, which grew to a 15–16 strong team delivering complex projects across London. Over the years, he’s weathered industry highs and lows, loss of business partner, shifting regulations, and changing construction methods – experience that now underpins Nexus Modular.

Bill is both:

• A Chartered Structural Engineer, and
• A Chartered Construction Manager

That rare crossover is critical to Nexus’ model, bridging design intent with buildability, logistics, and programme.

Today, Bill focuses on:

• Strategic overview
• Engineering integrity
• Ensuring Nexus delivers airspace projects that are safe, efficient, and commercially realistic
